few months ago

when i was searching some information

in CCS website

i found my old sophomore sketch!

that sketchbook was in CCS student show two years ago

i seriously had no idea until....over an year later!

no body told me :/

but it's still awesome!

my friend, kristen, recommended me

to start this thing called moly_exchange

simply you exchange your moleskin

with ppl around the world

i joined moly_portrait_2 about a year ago

some ups and downs

i only had one moly from sweden

and i am waiting for another one to come

i drew myself on mine

and drew rob on his-

now looking back...

i want to fix myself

poor sketch skill

truth

i believed that coming back to korea and study design in different but familiar environment would help me succeed later plan-

or at least learn something new that i would never know at ccs-

everything was just fantasy i guess

maybe i shouldve stop everything when the plan didnt go smooth as we all thought it would be....

i shouldnt forced it....

now what it comes is...just wasting my semester and wasting my energy-

its so sad to talk about my own country's education system-

it just makes me mad so much that i had to say it...

7 classes....7 projects.....6 days a week but total of 12 credits

how ridiculous this is....

how unnecessary action.....a risk i took

....oh shut up heidi...

you knew it was a risk :/

anyway ive been sketching so much

i mean i am taking 7 studio classes

i should be sketching while i am sleeping right?

but the depressing part is

i hate all of my sketches

i am not having fun at all

my designes are all shitty

i think i am loosing my abilities to sketch...even think-

different environment, people,...culture....

i thought they would innovate me...

or at least keep me inspire-

dry....too dry here

i dont remember "fun" in sketching anymore-

i miss my friends

i miss detroit

i miss my old desk

i miss life

i am so ready to go back

i worked on the lamp project this about a month

for DNA+ competition

wish me luck...again :'(

there is korean (hangul) idea competition.

its the way to advise the beauty of koreans

so i decided to do the bench :)

yesterday i started alias model

but i think i am gonna use desktop to do that now

my laptop cant handle big alias file ;-;

i wish there is 24 hours lab here

i couldve done so many projects done *sigh*

i guess i have to work out whatever i have...

but i thought this school has impressive facilities

what impressive facilities? i dont see one -_-

things are finally settling

i bought a flight ticket just yesterday

i will be studying at KooKmin University in korea :)

i am so excited!

i am helping out my highschool art teacher

with her summer art camp at OU

this is heiDi's first review story_

11 - arrived at ccs started to set up the presentation

1 - review started! found out mine is the second to last

3 - finally its my classroom's turn

3:20 - started to suck the candies

3:30 - started panic attack

3:45 - review time

4 - review ended for real

ID review is very complicated

there are 8 - 9 panels for review

including product, trans, ID chairs

i was worried that

they will say

"you are a designer not illustrator"

"you need more sketchbooks"

"whats with these characters?"

"what!?"

"eh"

"hm"

"-_-"

idk if i am in product

they complimented me more than crited me

idk if they were being sacrastic...

but they said lots of good stuffs about my work

:-D

such as

"your drawing skill is at the end of soph even early juinor"

"you have very good sense of colors"

"you have a skill that freshman usually dont have"

"good colors"

"you have one of best sketchbook that we saw"

(i thought they being a sacrastic)

(and i still think so)

yup yup yup

my score?

really-_-

score did not reflect the way they complimented me

its higher than average

but not the best you know

(which i am lil pissed about)
